Purdue @ Wisconsin

Purdue continues its B1G road stretch with a game against the Badgers

Purdue is coming into this game reeling after a poor overall performance against MSU as we had chances to close the gap, but couldn't get any shots to fall. Now we go on the road again against a really good Wisconsin team.

Purdue v Wisconsin

Now while Wisconsin is no where near as elite as MSU, they are not a team to go easy against. Wisconsin is averaging 74 PPG on offense. The Badgers have 4 guys who can shoot very well on the floor, those being: Ethan Happ (56% FG), Nate Reuvers (51% FG), Kobe King (51% FG), and Khalil Iverson (51% FG). D'Mitrick Trice and Brad Davidson will be guys to look out for from behind the arch as they are averaging 40% or better. Wisconsin is not a good offensive rebounding team, but they can handle the ball well, averaging 14 assist per game. They are a disciplined team when it comes to turnovers as they only commit 9 per game.
Purdue is averaging 78 PPG wich is better than the Badgers 74. Edwards had a terrible game against the Spartans as he finished with 11 pts and abysmal shooting. but other than that he is still a huge threat to this Wisconsin team averaging 24 PPG which is good for 6th in the nation. The threats from behind will be Ryan Cline (39%), Carsen Edwards (37%), and Aaron Wheeler (37%). Purdue allows teams to 37% 3-pt shooting, which is good for 300th in the nation. But Purdue does force 14 TO per game, so that could bode well for them.

Overall, this will be a great win for the Boilermakers who are still struggling to find themselves. Both teams have flaws but I think this has a making of a Purdue win. The line will be our friend as we are averaging 73% at the line compared to Wisconsin's 67%. And also limiting Happ as he is good in the paint, he is not good behind the arch and at the line. Both teams will be hungry for a win as both lost their last game. But I think Purdue can win this, because if we are able to play close against a elite 8 if not final 4 caliber team like MSU, then we should have no problem winning against a good team like Wisconsin with some slight improvements on both sides of the ball, this will be a game where Purdue will come and play some good tough basketball.
