Purdue is on the road after a really good Week Purdue is hot After wins against Ohio St. and #6 MSU, Purdue is now back into the ranking for the first time in 2019, And they now go on the road to play Penn St. who has yet to win a conference game this year. Penn St. v #17 Purdue Penn St. is averaging 67 PPG on offense. Their top scorers are Lamar Stevens (19 PPG), Rasir Bolton (11 PPG), and Josh Reaves (10 PPG). They are an okay shooting team, averaging 41% from the floor. Their best interior man is Mike Watkins who is 57% from the paint. They don't fair well in the way of shooting from deep, only making 31% from downtown. Their deep threats are Myles Dread (36%),  as well as Reaves and Bolton at 35%. On defense, they hold teams to 68 PPG, while forcing 14 turnovers a game while also committing 13 turnovers a game. Purdue is averaging 78 PPG on the offensive end. Purdue's leading scorers are Carsen Edwards (24 PPG), and Ryan Cline (13 PPG). Purdue shoots the ball be

Yep, More Madness. West Virginia v Oklahoma West Virginia is averaging 74 PPG on offense. They have 4 guys averaging double figures each game, those being Esa Ahmad and James Bolden (12 PPG), Derek Culver (11 PPG), and Lamont West (10 PPG). The Mountaineers are an ok shooting team, averaging around 42% from the floor. With their best player being Culver at 54% and Ahmad at 47%. They don't bring much of a threat from deep if not any. With their highest shooters from deep are James Bolden (35%), and Chase Harler (34%). On defense, they hold teams to 74 PPG and force 13 turnovers a game while committing a not so good 16 turnovers a game. The Sooner's offense is averaging 73 PPG. Their top scorers are Christian James (16 PPG), and Brady Manek (11 PPG). They shoot better from the floor than West Virginia at around the 45% mark. Purdue gets a second chance at Mackey Purdue comes back home after a nice win at Columbus, but this time they are playing against the Spartans once again to see who owns the B1G. Purdue is averaging 78 PPG on offense, with their top scorers being Carsen Edwards (25 PPG), and  Ryan Cline (12 PPG). The team overall shoots really well from the floor, especially Matt Haarms (61% FG), Nojel Eastern (51%), and Grady Eifert (50% FG). Purdue deep threat shooters are Cline and Eifert (42%), and Edwards (38%). On the defensive end, we hold teams to 68 PPG, and force 14 turnovers a game while we commit 11. MSU on offense is averaging 84 PPG, with their top scorers being Cassius Winston (18 PPG), and Nick Ward (16 PPG). Inside the paint, MSU will mostly rely on Ward and Xavier Tillman (63%). Their only deep threats are Winson (45%), and Matt McQuaid (42%). On defense the hold teams to 66 PPG while forcing 11 turnovers a game compared to their 14. This is probably one of my hardest predict

Midweek Madness: SEC Takeover

Image
It's SEC time We have two SEC teams taking over midweek madness this week. Just in time for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Georgia v Texas Georgia's offense is averaging 75 PPG. Their top scorers are Rayshaun Hammonds (13 PPG), Nicolas Claxton (12 PPG), Derek Ogbeide, and Tyree Crump (10 PPG). The Bulldogs shoot very well as a team overall with Hammonds (50% FG), and Ogbeide (53%) being the better ones. Georgia has two deep threats from 3, Hammonds, and Crump (39%). On defense they hold teams to 73 PPG as well as forcing 11 turnovers per game while committing 16 turnovers per game. Texas is averaging 71 PPG on offense. Their top scorers are Kerwin Roach Jr. (14 PPG), Matt Coleman, Dylan Osetkowski, and Jaxson Hayes (10 PPG). Their shooting from the floor can be better, but a force to be reckoned with in the paint will be Hayes (75% FG). The Longhorns have 3 guys who can be a threat from deep, Jase Febres (37%), Coleman, and Kerwin Roach Jr. (34%). Texas on the defensive en

Purdue hopes to build it's NCAA resume when it travels down to Columbus to play the Buckeyes. Purdue had a good week as it destroyed Rutgers and IU by comfortable margins. But now we head on the road to play Ohio St.  Ohio St. v Purdue  Ohio St. has had a rough couple of weeks, after loosing to MSU at home, they have lost road games against Rutgers and Iowa, as well as dropped another home game to a really good Maryland team. On offense, the Buckeyes average 75 PPG. Their top scorers are Kaleb Wesson (16 PPG), and C.J. Jackson (13 PPG). They are an overall pretty good shooting team from the floor, with the exception of K. Wesson (52%). They struggle from the three with their only deep threats being Jackson, and Luther Muhammad (39%). On defense the hold teams to 65 PPG as well as force 13 turnovers a game compared to their 12 they commit. OSU problem towards the end of last season was foul trouble, that is still the case as multiple star players for OSU averages around

More Madness!! Its a new week which means, more games USC v UCLA UCLA is averaging 79 PPG on offense. Their top scorers are Kris Wilkes (17 PPG), Moses Brown (12 PPG), Jaylen Hands (12 PPG), and Price Ali (10 PPG). They guy USC should watch out for is Brown as he averages 68% from the floor. UCLA doesn't pose a real threat from deep, but their best shooters are Prince Ali (36%), and Kris Wilkes (31%). On defense they hold teams to 75 PPG while also forcing 11 turnovers a game compared to their 15 they commit per game. USC is averaging 78 PPG on offense. Their leading scorers this season are Bennie Boatwright (17 PPG), Nick Rakocevic (15 PPG), and Jonah Mathews (12 PPG). All of UCS's lineup can shoot well, but a couple of people to keep an eye on is Rakocevic (52% FG), and Boatwright (48% FG). Their threats from deep are Mathews (38%), Shaqquan Aaron (38%), and Boatwright (37%). On defense they are holding teams 74 PPG, and are forcing 14 turnovers a game to their 12.

Purdue v #25 Indiana

Image
Purdue squares off against rival IU in Mackey Purdue took care of business against lowly Rutgers, now its time for the main event Purdue v #25 Indiana Purdue is finally looking like a complete team, averaging 79 PPG on offense. Our top scorers are still Carsen Edwards (25 PPG), and Ryan Cline (13 PPG). Our lineup has guys who can shoot really well from the floor, but the guys to watch are Haarms (59% FG), Nojel Eastern (54% FG), and Grady Eifert (50% FG). Our deep threats are the usual with Cline (41%), and Edwards (38%). But also watch out for Eifert who is averaging 41% from deep. On defense, nothing much has changed except we are holding teams to 69 PPG, and we are still forcing 14 turnover a game to our 11 that we commit per game. The one thing I think we can improve on is penalties, In the second half against Rutgers, we had committed 10 turnovers to put them in the double bonus with 8:54 to go in the game while Rutgers only committed just 4. And while this wont matter sin

Purdue v Rutgers

Purdue returns to Mackey as they square off against Rutgers Purdue got a nice win against a really good Badger team on Friday, and will now look to defend their home court when the Scarlet Knights come to Mackey. Purdue's offense is averaging 78 PPG with two players averaging double figures a game. Those being Carsen Edwards (25 PPG), and Ryan Cline (13 PPG). Purdue overall does very well from the floor, averaging 45%. But the guys to watch closely will be Matt Haarms (59% FG), Nojel Eastern (54% FG), and Trevion Williams (55% FG). The guys that can be threats from deep are Edwards (38%), Aaron Wheeler (36%), and Cline (40%). On the defensive end, we hold teams to just 8 offensive boards a game while forcing 14 turnovers a game and 70 PPG. I am still baffled on how a really good OSU team walked into Piscataway and loss. Because this Rutgers team is bad. Averaging 68 PPG on offense, and  Eugene Omoruyi one of Rutgers star players (15 PPG, 48% FG, 36% 3-pt) is out indefinitel

Midweek Madness: Hoops Edition

We have some great game this weekend Another week, another set of basketball games for ya. #1 Duke v #13 FSU Duke head back on the road for a match up against the #13 Seminoles. Duke is averaging 92 PPG. Led by freshman R.J. Barrett (23 PPG), and Zion Williams (20 PPG). The Blue Devils have guys who can score, but the players that you should look out for will be Zion (66% FG), R.J Barrett and Tre Jones (46% FG). But Duke doesn't seem to be much of a threat behind the arch as they average 32% from behind the arch every game. The guys that can be a threat are Cam Reddish (34%), and Tre Jones (33%). and they seem to be prone to turnovers as they average 13 TO per game But despite their flaws, they are a good passing team averaging 18 assist per game. But for all their flaws on offense, they make it up on defense as they suffocate teams to just 64 PPG, and force 17 TO per game, and limit teams to just 37% from the floor and 29% from 3. The Seminoles are averaging 79 PPG, whic

Purdue @ Wisconsin

Image
Purdue continues its B1G road stretch with a game against the Badgers Purdue is coming into this game reeling after a poor overall performance against MSU as we had chances to close the gap, but couldn't get any shots to fall. Now we go on the road again against a really good Wisconsin team. Purdue v Wisconsin Now while Wisconsin is no where near as elite as MSU, they are not a team to go easy against. Wisconsin is averaging 74 PPG on offense. The Badgers have 4 guys who can shoot very well on the floor, those being: Ethan Happ (56% FG), Nate Reuvers (51% FG), Kobe King (51% FG), and Khalil Iverson (51% FG). D'Mitrick Trice and Brad Davidson will be guys to look out for from behind the arch as they are averaging 40% or better. Wisconsin is not a good offensive rebounding team, but they can handle the ball well, averaging 14 assist per game. They are a disciplined team when it comes to turnovers as they only commit 9 per game. Purdue is averaging 78 PPG wich is better t

Purdue @ #6 Michigan St.

Purdue continues its B1G slate with a tough road game against MSU Purdue is starting to come alive after their win against Iowa last week. But Purdue now travels to hostile territory as it goes up against the #6 Spartans. Purdue v #6 MSU The first thing that I want to point out is that MSU's third leading scorer Joshua Langford will be sitting out again as he is suffering from an ankle injury. But that wont matter to this MSU team. This Izzo squad is averaging 87 PPG. As well as have 3 guys that are averaging 15+PPG. They are dangerous from everywhere on the court as they average 51% from the floor with 6 guys averaging 40% or better. The two guys who are going to be dangerous for this Purdue squad is Nick Ward (66% FG) and Xavier Tillman (70% FG). Purdue will need to do their best to keep these guys in check. But it doesn't get better from there. They have 4 guys shooting 40 or better behind the arch. Their top 3 shooters from behind the arch are Cassius Winston (45%),

We have a nice slate of games for you guys We are finally back after what seems like ages, and we have a nice double header for you guys today. #3 Tennessee v Georgia SEC conference games are under way as Georgia faces off against Tennessee. Tennessee offense is averaging 85 PPG with 4 guys that are averaging 10+ points per game. They are also a really good ball handling team averaging 21 assist per game. Their leading scorers Grant Williams (20 PPG), Admiral Schofield (18 PPG), Jordan Bone (14 PPG), and Kyle Alexander (10 PPG) will pose a tough challenge for this Bulldog defense as they can get to the basket and make their shot from not just the paint, but from behind the arch as well.  There's nothing much to talk about Georgia. They average 79 PPG, but struggle with turnovers as they commit 17 per game. They only have 2 guys that can be threats behind the arch which is Rayshaun Hammonds (20 PPG, 46% 3-pt), and Tyree Crump (11 PPG, 43% 3-pt). So with Tennessee's d

Purdue v #25 Iowa

Basketball is back after a long hiatus As the last bowl games come to an end, I can put the 2018 football season behind me and dive right into basketball season. And with Purdue finishing their non-con slate. We jump right into conference competition with a game against the #25 Hawkeyes in Mackey. Purdue v #25 Iowa Purdue's defense has been stepping up lately in the last two games especially during pivotal clutch moments, the offense still continues to show flashes here and there. Carsen is still Carsen as he averages 26 PPG with 44% from the field and a solid 40% from the 3. Cline is still in his shooting funk, but despite that, he is still 38% from 3. Eastern has stepped up at the line. Before Belmont he was 25% from the line, during the game he went 6 of 7 to push is average up to 47%.  Iowa is averaging more points than us at 83 PPG, but they allow teams to score 71 on them per game. The advantage there goes to Purdue as we allow 69 PPG. The Hawkeyes may be without Lu
