The 2019 football season is just around the corner, and the expectations are high for Purdue. And while we don't have an easy schedule, we do start the season with a doable road trip to Reno.
Nevada v Purdue
Nevada had a great season last year, going 8-5 and winning the Arizona Bowl against Arkansas St. Last season they had a pretty balanced offense while keeping opposing teams to under 250 yards passing and 150 yards rushing. This season will be different the wolf pack will most likely look towards their run game as they will have a red shirt freshmen QB who hasn't played a collegiate game in his life start against Purdue.
Purdue had a roller coaster of a season, going 6-7 with a blowout loss to Auburn in the Music City Bowl. Purdue last season relied on their passing game for offensive production as they just simply couldn't generate a run game each week. This season will be the same thing as Purdue's depth at RB is very thin with Fuller, and Worship out with injuries.
This game could go either way, I like Sindelar and the talent we have at receiving, but I also don't know if our run game can be able to contain Nevada's. Both teams didn't do to well with turnovers last season, so will that impact the game? There are a lot of questions coming into this game, but I'm certain that the talent and the experience on the offensive side will be enough for Purdue to win. Purdue
