Midweek Madness

Purdue is off this week, but there is always football

Purdue has a bye week that they desperately need so instead of the usual four teams a week. We're adding another team to fill that slot

#3 Georgia v #7 Notre Dame

Georgia averages close to 300 yards a game in both the passing and rushing which is not too bad.The Irish averages over 300 yards in passing and close to 200 in the running game. But the one area where I think the Irish will have a problem will be the run game, where the Bulldogs are suffocating teams to only 60 rushing yards a game. Georgia will force the Irish to go through the air, but that won't be enough to secure a victory in Athens. Georgia

Kansas v West Virginia

With Sean Ryan and Tevin Bush both questionable for the Mountaineers, this could hurt their passing game slightly. The problem with West Virginia is their run game, which they average 80 yards a game. Kansas on the other hand averages around 200 yards a game for both the run and the passing games. The one thing that caught my eye was turnovers, as both teams commit a ton with the Mountaineers committing 2 less than the Jayhawks. I expect this one to be close with Kansas coming out with a win Kansas

Stanford v #16 Oregon

The Ducks average 320 yards a game through the air while putting up 190 yards on the ground. Oregon will try to challenge Stanford to beat them through the air as they hold teams to 90 yards on the ground. Stanford will try and fail. They simply dont have the defense to stop Oregon in this one. Oregon

#2 Alabama v Southern Mississippi

Both teams are coming into this game averaging over 350 yards per game through the air. Bama has a better run game averaging 180 yards compared to the Eagles's 106. But it wont matter as Bama will be simply too much for them. Alabama

Indiana v UConn

Both these teams are pretty even, But even with Penix Jr. questionable for this game. The Hoosiers shouldn't worry. This is a pretty Bad UConn team that almost lost to a very bad FCS school in week one. The Hoosiers roll before a tough game at Michigan State. Indiana
